DTC Detection Condition
B0038-12REAR SIDE A/B MODULE RH
(Second Row Right Side Airbag Deployment Control)
Diagnosis conditionWhen ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal)Rear side air bag module RH signal
ThresholdRear side air bag module RH circuit is shorted to power supply circuit
Diagnosis delay time2 seconds or more.
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Connection malfunction or short circuit to power supply of harness and connector
  • Internal malfunction of rear side air bag module RH
  • Internal malfunction of air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK SELF-DIAG RESULT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
