POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Harness or connectors (Electric shift sensor circuits are open or shorted.)
  • Electric shift sensor
  • Electric shift control module
 
 
FAIL-SAFE
Determination time of the shift selector position becomes long (1 second or more)
 
 
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" has been previously conducted, always ignition switch OFF and wait at least 60 seconds before conducting the next test.

2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
  1. The ignition switch is ON.
  2. Select "Data List" in "SHIFT".
  3. Select "Shift position judgment".
  4. Shift the selector lever as follows. (Hold the selector lever at each position for 2 seconds or more.)
    H → Nr → R → Nd → D/M → H
  5. Repeat step 4 five times.
  6. Check DTC.
