DTC detection condition
P077600PC SOLENOID B
(Pressure Control Solenoid "B" Performance/Stuck Off)
1Diagnosis conditionWhen all of the following conditions are satisfied:
  • DTC other than the applicable DTC is not detected.
  • Engine speed: More than 625 rpm
  • Shift position: Other than P/N position
  • CVT fluid temperature: More than -20°C (-4°F)
  • TCM power supply: More than 11 V
  • The difference between instruction pressure of secondary pressure and 10-msec-ago instruction secondary pressure is 0 MPa or more
  • Instruction pressure of secondary pressure: 0 MPa or more

Threshold
  1. When the following condition is satisfied and this state is maintained for 5.5 seconds:
    • Actual secondary pressure - Instruction pressure of secondary pressure: 1.2 MPa or more
  2. After the above condition "1" is satisfied:
    Actual secondary pressure - Instruction pressure of secondary pressure: 1.2 MPa or more
Diagnosis delay time10 seconds
2Diagnosis conditionWhen all of the following conditions are satisfied:
  • DTC other than the applicable DTC is not detected.
  • Engine speed: More than 625 rpm
  • Shift position: Other than P/N position
  • CVT fluid temperature: More than -20°C (-4°F)
  • TCM power supply: More than 11 V
  • The difference between instruction pressure of secondary pressure and 10-msec-ago instruction secondary pressure is 0 MPa or more

  1. When the following condition "a" is satisfied twice in the same DC:
    • a. When all of the following condition a-1 to a-4 are satisfied and this state is maintained for 1.52 seconds:
      • a-1. Instruction pressure of secondary pressure - Actual secondary pressure: 0.25 MPa or more
      • a-2.Actual secondary pressure - low limit of oil level: Less than 0 MPa
      • a-3. Current accelerator pedal position - Accelerator pedal position when all conditions of the diagnosis condition and above condition a-1 to a-2 are met : Less than 5 deg
      • a-4: Current vehicle speed - Vehicle speed when all conditions of the diagnosis condition and above condition a-1 to a-2 are met: Less than 15 km/h (9 MPH)
  2. After the above condition "1" is satisfied:
    • Instruction pressure of secondary pressure - Actual secondary pressure: 1.2 MPa or more
Diagnosis delay time10 seconds
3Diagnosis conditionWhen all of the following conditions are satisfied:
  • DTC other than the applicable DTC is not detected.
  • Engine speed: More than 625 rpm
  • Shift position: Other than P/N position
  • CVT fluid temperature: More than -20°C (-4°F)
  • TCM power supply: More than 11 V
  • The difference between instruction pressure of secondary pressure and 10-msec-ago instruction secondary pressure is 0 MPa or more
  • Instruction pressure of secondary pressure: 0 MPa or more

Threshold
  1. When all of the following condition b-1 to b-3 are satisfied and this state is maintained for 1 second:
    • b-1. Instruction pressure of secondary pressure - Actual secondary pressure: 0.25 MPa or more
    • b-2. Actual secondary pressure - low limit of oil level: Less than 0 MPa
    • b-3. MIN (Minimum necessary oil pressure - Actual secondary pressure, Target secondary pressure - Actual secondary pressure): 2 MPa or more
  2. After the above condition "1" is satisfied:
    • Instruction pressure of secondary pressure - Actual secondary pressure: 1.2 MPa or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Secondary pressure solenoid valve (control valve)
  • CVT belt
 
 
FAIL-SAFE
  • When a malfunction occurs on the low oil pressure side
    • Selector shock is large
    • Start is slow
    • Acceleration is slow
    • Lock-up is not performed
    • Vehicle speed is not increased
  • When a malfunction occurs on the high oil pressure side
    • Selector shock is large
    • Start is slow
    • Acceleration is slow
    • Lock-up is not performed
 
 
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
cautionAlways drive vehicle at a safe speed.
The MIL is ON and ONLY DTC P0776–00 (PC SOLENOID B - Pressure Control Solenoid "B" Performance/Stuck OFF) is stored in the TCM.
noteIf this issue should occur, the vehicle may hesitate and/or have a lack of power.
1.CHECK DTC PRIORITY
When DTC P0776–00 is displayed together with P17F0–07, diagnose first the P17F0–07.
Is "P17F0–07" detected?
Perform diagnosis of P17F0–07. Refer to Diagnosis ProcedureDTC Diagnosis Procedure.

2.PREPARATION BEFORE WORK
If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, the ignition switch is OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

3.CHECK DTC DETECTION
  1. Start the engine.
  2. Drive the vehicle.
  3. Maintain the following condition for 20 seconds or more.
    Shift position: "D" position
    Vehicle speed: 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more
    Accelerator pedal position: 1.0/8 or more
  4. Stop the vehicle.
  5. Check the first trip DTC.
