Diagnosis conditionIgnition switch ON
Signal (terminal)Exhaust gas temperature sensor signal
ThresholdECM detects that a voltage signal from exhaust gas temperature sensor is less than 0.209 V.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Harness or connectors
    (Exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit is shorted.)
  • Exhaust gas temperature sensor

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
  2. Turn ignition switch ON.
  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V.

2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
  1. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 5 seconds.
  2. Check 1st trip DTC.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?
To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END
