P210100ETC FNCTN/CIRC-B1
(Throttle actuator “A” control motor circuit range/performance)
Diagnosis conditionEngine running at idle
Signal (terminal)
ThresholdElectric throttle control function does not operate properly
Diagnosis delay time

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Harness or connectors (Throttle control motor circuit is open or shorted.)
  • Electric throttle control actuator

FAIL-SAFE
Engine operating condition in fail-safe mode
Fail safe modeVehicle behavior
Device fix mode
  • This mode fixes the electric IVT motor and the EVT control solenoid valve in the reference position.
  • The intake manifold runner control valve motor is turned OFF (intake manifold runner control valve opens).
  • A control signals is not transmitted to EGR volume control valve and the EGR volume control is deactivated.
Electric throttle control cancel mode ECM stops the electric throttle control actuator control, throttle valve is maintained at a fixed opening (approx. 5 degrees) by the return spring.

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1.CHECK DTC PRIORITY
If DTC P2101 is displayed with DTC P2100 or P2119, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P2100 or P2119.
Is applicable DTC detected?
Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Index.
.

2.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
  2. Turn ignition switch ON.
  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V when engine is running.
: .

3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
  1. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
  2. Start engine and let it idle for 5 seconds.
  3. Check DTC.
