(Trouble diagnosis content)
DTC detection condition
P200900Intake manifold runner control
(Intake Manifold Runner Control Circuit Low Bank 1)
Diagnosis condition
Signal (terminal)Intake manifold runner control valve motor signal circuit
ThresholdAn excessively low voltage signal is sent to ECM through the intake manifold runner control valve motor.
Diagnosis delay time

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Harness or connectors
(Intake manifold runner control valve motor circuit is open or shorted.)
  • Intake manifold runner control valve motor

FAIL-SAFE
Fail safe modeVehicle behavior
Traveling control modeEngine output controlECM reduces the engine output, according to the rise in engine speed. This reduces the vehicle speed to encourage the driver to repair malfunction.
  • Driving at 70 km/h (44 MPH) or more is possible.
noteThis value is a reference value converted from engine power to vehicle speed. Actual power limitation value differs due to the malfunctioning part and driving condition.
Device fix mode
  • This mode fixes the electric IVT motor and the EVT control solenoid valve in the reference position.
  • The intake manifold runner control valve motor is turned OFF (intake manifold runner control valve opens).
  • A control signals is not transmitted to EGR volume control valve and the EGR volume control is deactivated.
Combustion control modeIgnition timing correction controlPartially controls ignition timing control.
Retardation controlControls ignition timing delay control in the intermediate water temperature range.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
  2. Turn ignition switch ON.
  3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V at idle.
: .

2.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
  1. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 5 seconds.
  2. Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.
noteFor best results, warm up the engine until “COOLAN TEMP/S” on “DATA MONITOR” mode of “ENGINE” using M.U.T.-III SE reaches at least 70°C (158°F).
  3. Rev engine up to 4,000 rpm under no load, then run engine at idle speed.
  4. Check DTC.
Is DTC detected?
Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
