Power liftgate opener switchRefer to Power Liftgate Opener Switch.
Power liftgate opener actuatorRefer to Power Liftgate Lock Assembly.
ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)Transmit vehicle speed signal to BCM via CAN communication.
BCMWhen the BCM receives the open operation signal from the power liftgate opener switch , it operates the power liftgate opener actuator.
 
 
Power liftgate OPENER OPERATION
When power liftgate opener switch is pressed, BCM operates power liftgate opener actuator.
notePower liftgate opener actuator is not for locking the power liftgate. The function is only to open the power liftgate.
 
 
OPERATION CONDITION
If the following conditions are satisfied, power liftgate opener operation is performed.

Power liftgate open
  • When power liftgate opener switch is pressed while all doors are in unlock status.
  • Vehicle speed is less than 4 km/h (2 MPH)
note
  • When battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected during all doors unlock state, power liftgate may not open.
  • Regardless of door lock actuator state, BCM resets recognition of all doors unlock state approximately 30 seconds after battery terminal is disconnected and BCM recognizes that all doors are in lock state.
  • When battery terminal is reconnected and power liftgate does not open, have BCM recognize that all doors are in unlock state.
