Removal and Installation
cautionNever damage the rear door panel.
 
 
REMOVAL
 
 
1. Fully open rear door.
2. Remove pull handle cap.
(1) Apply protective tape (A) on rear door finisher to protect it from damage.
(2) Disengage pull handle cap fixing pawls using a remover tool (A), and then remove pull handle cap.

3. Remove power window switch finisher.
(1) Apply protective tape (A) on rear door finisher to protect it from damage.
(2) Disengage fixing clip and pawls using a remover tool (A) according to numerical order 1→4 indicated by arrows as shown in the figure.

(3) Disconnect harness connector, and then remove power window switch finisher.
4. Remove inside handle cap.
(1) Apply protective tape (A) on inside handle to protect it from damage.
(2) Disengage inside handle cap fixing pawls using a remover tool (A), and then remove inside handle cap.

5. Remove rear door finisher mounting screw and mounting bolt .
6. Apply protective tape (A) on rear door panel to protect it from damage.
7. Disengage rear door finisher fixing clips using a remover tool (A) according to numerical order 1→2 indicated by arrows as shown in the figure.

8. Disconnect lock knob cable and inside handle cable from inside handle according to numerical order 1→4 indicated by arrows as shown in the figure, and then remove rear door finisher.
9. Disengage rear door weather-strip , and then remove inside seal according to numerical order 1→2 indicated by arrows as shown in the figure,.
10. Remove shade hook (with rear door sunshade models).
(1) Remove shade hook mounting bolt .
(2) Apply protective tapes (A) on rear door panel to protect it from damage.
(3) Disengage shade hook fixing pawls using a remover tool (A), and then remove shade hook.

INSTALLATION
Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.
caution
  • Visually check clips for deformation and damage during installation. Replace with new ones if necessary.
  • Check in advance that clips are accurately aligned with the portions on rear door panel, and then install by pressing in.
  • Never install lock knob cable while it is twisted.
