DTC Detection Condition
U2148-83CAN comm err (brake control unit)
[Controller area network communication error (brake control unit)]
Diagnosis conditionWhen ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal)CAN communication signal
ThresholdError signal that is received from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)
Diagnosis delay time2 seconds or more.
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)
  • Air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK DTC PRIORITY
If DTC U2148-83 is displayed with Network-DTC, first perform the trouble diagnosis for Network-DTC.
Is applicable DTC detected?
Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC IndexDTC Index.

2.CHECK SELF-DIAG RESULT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
