DTC Detection Condition
B1004-55Passenger air bag module active vent
(Passenger air bag module active vent)
Diagnosis conditionWhen Ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal)Passenger air bag module (active vent) signal
ThresholdWhen a mismatch is detected between in the configuration data stored in the air bag diagnosis sensor unit and vehicle specification.
Diagnosis delay time2 seconds or more.
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Connection malfunction of harness and connector
  • Mistake of configuration for air bag diagnosis sensor unit
  • Internal malfunction of air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK SELF-DIAG RESULT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
