DTC Detection Condition
B0002-1EDRIVER AIRBAG MODULE 2
(Driver Frontal Stage 2 Deployment Control)
Diagnosis conditionWhen ignition switch is ON.
Signal (terminal)Driver air bag module signal
ThresholdDriver air bag module 2 circuit is shorted to driver air bag module 1.
(including the spiral cable)
Diagnosis delay time2 seconds or more.
 
 
POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Connection malfunction or short circuit of harness and connector
  • Internal malfunction of driver air bag module
  • Internal malfunction of air bag diagnosis sensor unit

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK SELF-DIAG RESULT
With M.U.T.-III SE
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AIR BAG” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Is malfunctioning part detected?
Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
