Diagnosis Procedure
1.PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS
With M.U.T.-III SE
Perform self-diagnosis for “ABS”.
Is DTC detected?
Check the DTC. Refer to DTC Index.

2.CHECK REAR DISC BRAKE DRAG
Check if the rear disc brake is dragging. Refer to Inspection and AdjustmentInspection and Adjustment.
Is the rear disc brake dragging?
Check the rear disc brake system. Refer to Inspection and AdjustmentInspection and Adjustment.

3.DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR HARNESS CONNECTOR
  1. Disconnecting the 12V battery negative terminal.
  2. Disconnect parking brake actuator harness connector from rear brake caliper assembly .

4.REMOVE PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR
Remove parking brake actuator from rear brake caliper assembly .

5.RELEASE OF PARKING BRAKE
Rotate the rear brake caliper assembly spindle part clockwise.
Is the parking brake released?

Check the rear brake caliper assembly. Refer to Inspection and AdjustmentInspection and Adjustment.
 
6.INSTALL OF PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR
Install the parking brake actuator. Refer to Removal and Installation.
cautionNever reuse the O-ring.
