POSSIBLE CAUSE

Transaxle assembly (Sticking of manual shaft)

FAIL-SAFE

Shifting operation is prohibited
Powertrain becomes neutral

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.PRECONDITIONING

If “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” has been previously conducted, always ignition switch OFF and wait at least 60 seconds before conducting the next test.

2.CHECK CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE

With M.U.T.-III SE

The ignition switch is ON.
Select “Data List” in “TRANSMISSION” using M.U.T.-III SE.
Select “FLUID TEMP” and check that the CVT fluid temperature is 15°C (59°F) or more.

Is “FLUID TEMP” more than 15°C (59°F)

Start the engine and warm up the CVT fluid.

3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

Start the engine.
Depress the brake pedal.
Shift the selector lever to “D/M” position and wait for 10 seconds.
Press the P position switch and wait for 10 seconds.
Check DTC.

Is “P072A-00 detected?
