Threshold
  • The cylinder No. signal is not sent to ECM for the first few seconds during engine cranking
  • The cylinder No. signal is not sent to ECM during engine running
  • The cylinder No. signal is not in the normal pattern during engine running

POSSIBLE CAUSE
  • Harness or connectors
    • The intake camshaft position sensor circuit is open or shorted.
    • Sensor power supply 1 circuit is open or shorted.
    • Sensor power supply 2 circuit is shorted.
  • Intake camshaft position sensor
  • Exhaust camshaft position sensor
  • Camshaft (INT)
  • Starter motor
  • Starting system circuit
  • Dead (Weak) battery
  • Sensor power supply 1 circuit sensor
  • Sensor power supply 2 circuit sensor

Device fix mode
  • This mode fixes the electric IVT motor and the EVT control solenoid valve in the reference position.
  • The intake manifold runner control valve motor is turned OFF (intake manifold runner control valve opens).
  • A control signals is not transmitted to EGR volume control valve and the EGR volume control is deactivated.
 
 
DTC Confirmation Procedure
1.CHECK DTC PRIORITY
If DTCP0340 is displayed with DTC P06B0 or P06B3, first perform the trouble diagnosis for DTC P06B0 or P06B3.
Is applicable DTC detected?
Perform diagnosis of applicable. Refer to DTC Description.

2.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
TESTING CONDITION:
Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 10.5 V with ignition switch ON.

3.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-1
  1. Start engine and let it idle for at least 5 seconds.
    If engine does not start, crank engine for at least 2 seconds.
  2. Check 1st trip DTC.

4.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE-2
  1. Maintaining engine speed at more than 800 rpm for at least 5 seconds.
  2. Check 1st trip DTC.
