Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK THE ECM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Refer to Diagnosis ProcedureDTC Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
2.CHECK INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE ACTUATOR OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
  1. Disconnect intake manifold tuning valve motor harness connector.
  2. Check the continuity between intake manifold tuning valve actuator harness connector and ECM harness connector.

  3. Also check harness for short to ground and to power.
Is the inspection result normal?

Repair or replace error-detected parts.
 
3.CHECK INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE ACTUATOR
Check the intake manifold tuning valve actuator. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent IncidentIntermittent Incident.
Replace intake manifold assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
